Ben & Hollie

I've been so excited about taking pictures of couples. I love being around two people when it is so evident how much they care about each other. My younger brother Ben and his girlfriend Hollie were nice enough to let me take pictures of them so I could practice using my new camera. It was so so fun to watch them interact with one another. It is obvious Ben thinks Hollie is pretty wonderful, and she laughs at every little thing he does. Plus, they are both pretty dang photogenic. Thanks again guys!

Lights

There is something about the warm glow of the fire that makes me smile. Something about the way the Christmas tree lights make the whole room a little bit brighter. And something about Christmas that makes me even more thankful God sent Jesus to be the light of the world.

Lights, in each and every form, are what bring light to darkness. Hope to the hopeless.

Moments. How often do we look back and think that a moment passed by too quickly? Moments like making a game winning shot, a beautiful sunset, or the heartbeat of the one you love just seconds before a first kiss. We love thinking back to those precious seconds in time because they are so dear to our hearts. Pictures give us the opportunity to glance back into that moment and put the outside image to the feeling on the inside.

So here is the beginning of my goal to freeze precious moments in time. Because life is filled with too many beautiful things.
